USM Board of Regents Committee on Education Policy and Student Life Meets Nov. 20
Adelphi, Md. (Nov.
18, 2013) -- The University
System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Committee on Education Policy and
Student Life will meet at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 20. The meeting will
take place at the Universities at Shady Grove (USG), 9630 Gudelsky Drive,
Rockville, MD.
The meeting will take place in the Multi-Purpose
Room of Building II and will entail six information items. The first agenda item
reflects the committee's work this year in examining the full complexities of
financial aid and developing recommendations to address financial aid matters
and assist students' efforts to persist through USM institutions. Financial aid
directors from four USM institutions will serve on a panel to help facilitate
the discussion.
The committee will hear reports on campus mental
health services, USM instructional faculty workloads, and fall 2013 enrollment
figures. Other information items are reports on intercollegiate athletics and
the P-20 Teacher Education Summit that was held at Towson University on Oct.
11, 2013.
