USM Board of Regents to Meet December 2
Adelphi, Md. (Nov. 29,
2011) -- The Âé¶¹´«Ã½ (USM) Board of Regents at its
next meeting will vote on the facilities master plan at Bowie State University
and proposals for new academic programs at Coppin State University and the
University of Baltimore.
The public session is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. Friday,
December 2 in the President's Board Room, 14th floor of the Saratoga
Office Building at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. The building is
located at 220 North Arch Street, Baltimore, MD 21201.
The Bowie State facilities master plan update addresses
aspirations of the university as it manages higher enrollment projections and
growing facilities needs. The academic programs under consideration are a
proposed B.A./B.S. in geography (Coppin State) and a master of science in innovation
management and technology commercialization (University of Baltimore).
The regents will hear reports from the councils of
university system presidents, faculty, staff and students. The full agenda,

After the public meeting, the board will meet in executive session.
