USM Board of Regents to Hold Annual Retreat at Hilton Baltimore BWI Airport Hotel Oct. 6
Retreat Follows Meeting of Committee on Finance
Adelphi, Md. (Oct. 3, 2011) -- The University
System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents will hold its annual retreat on
Thursday, October 6 at the Hilton Baltimore BWI Airport Hotel. The public
session of the retreat begins at 1:30 p.m. The hotel is located at 1739 West
Nursery Road, Linthicum, Md.
Before the
retreat begins, the board's Committee on Finance will meet in public session at
11:15 a.m. at the same location, convening in the hotel's Concourse A. The
committee will hear an informational presentation of the facilities master plan
update for Bowie State University and vote on the facilities master plan update
for Frostburg State University. Following the public meeting, the committee
will convene in executive session.
The Board
of Regents annual retreat will include a panel discussion regarding the state
of Maryland's three-year fiscal outlook. The board and USM presidents also will
discuss current implementations of the USM 2020 Strategic plan, approved in
December 2010, and Strategic Plan priorities for the next three years.
On Friday,
October 7, the board will announce it is closing the annual retreat by
reconvening in closed, executive session.
